Up to 73.5 hours - flexible options available. Duties
1. As part of a team, provide timely and effective Finance operational services and advice to management and staff on a range of finance related matters, with a focus on payment of creditors through the Department’s Financial Management Information System (FMIS). Undertake preparation, coding and batching of invoices and journals and associated data entry, in accordance with departmental and external instructions, policies and guidelines.
2. Undertake reconciliation of debtor and creditor accounts and statements. Process receipts and banking to the Departmental Bank Accounts. Prepare debtors invoices and maintain the Departmental Debtors Register, including the follow up of outstanding debts.
3. Provide timely and efficient services to staff in relation to basic FMIS access, financial data queries and other general finance related assistance.
4. Engage with Debtors and Creditors to ensure timely processing of expenditure and revenue.
5. Prepare brief reports and general correspondence to assist staff, Debtors and Creditors with their queries.
6. Establish and maintain registers and databases and prepare statistical and other routine reports for processing, budgeting, and other finance related processes.
7. Undertake assignments and provide support to the Finance Branch as required.
