Job Description


Currently we have an opening for Maintenance & Engineering Manager. This residential position will be permanent full-time engagement, working a 5/2 Roster
Reporting to the General Manager, the key responsibility areas of this position include:
Leader in Health, safety & environment
Comply with the Companies Core Values and Safety Management Systems.
Provide leadership in relation to health, safety, and environmental management.
Compliance with Obligations Management
Maintain compliance with obligations listed in obligations register for which position is accountable.
Compliance with legislation and licenses.
Development Teams & People
Personal development planning.
Performance management & review process.
Undertaking of team building activity. Individual skills development and competency levels
Maintenance Management
- Implementation of short, medium- and long-term plans and work schedules - Compliance to plan.
Risk Management, Understanding and management of key cost drivers within business unit.
- Cost Management -. Management of cost variance to zero based model to drive cost excellence.
- Customer Orientation - Consultation, communication, and consideration of interactive business units.
Preventative maintenance programs. Monitor & report on performance of Plant and Equipment.
Keep abreast of relevant industry developments that may result in improved productivity or cost.
- Maintain Plant and equipment records for Statutory compliance and production efficiency. - Design and supervise construction of routine projects.
Supervise specialist Consultants and Contractors on Major Projects
Business Leadership
Strategic Maintenance operational performance.
Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Maintenance activities.
- Change Management - Efficient implementation of workplace change through sound management practice and site guideline.
Maintain effective control on maintenance Costs: Assist in establishing annual capital and operating budgets.
Demonstrate strong commercial and financial acumen. Develop programs to focus on unit cost reduction
Contribute to effective administration of the site
Be an active member of the Management Team.
Demonstrate accountability for an operating business unit.
Strategise business development and operations growth.
Ensure compliance with administrative policies and procedures.
The Successful candidate should possess the following skills, knowledge, and experience, training, and qualifications:
Engineering Degree (Mechanical or Electrical)
15 + years Industry Experience
Diploma or Tertiary Leadership and Management
Modern Safety Management Techniques
Maintenance Management concepts
Leadership
Computer literacy
Excellent interpersonal, organisational, communication both verbal and written skills
High level of motivation, Pro-active, self-starter capable of working in a small team of professionals.
