Full Stack PHP Developer

Talenza are recruiting for an enthusiastic Full Stack PHP Developer to join an exciting global company who are currently undergoing a major digital transformation. The role is to be carried out in the context of a collaborative team environment including other developers, business representatives, application support officers and system testers. Analysing requirements
Translating requirements into robust code meeting documented business needs.
Producing robust software containing minimal bugs and requiring minimal rework
Producing quality code that is concise, readable and maintainable by the team
Exercising attention to detail to ensure high standard of delivered software
Building re-usable components and selling features to the team
Writing unit tests and testable code
Performing code reviews, i.e: BitBucket, GIT
Performing Unit and Integration tests
Documenting systems changes and user guides
Diagnosing system problems
Contributing to the team with improvement initiatives
Develop new user-facing features
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Skills required
Minimum of 5 years of experience
Hands on experience with Laravel 5.X, at least the last 2 years of your works should be using Laravel
Experience in working with a CMS, i.e WordPress
Ability to design and develop rich user experiences
Ability to deliver pixel perfect and responsive HTML based on designs using SASS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap etc
Proficient understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
Experience in frontend technologies i.e: CSS3/HTML 5/Javascript (AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, DurandalJS etc.) /JQuery/Bootstrap
Familiar with build tools like Gulp
Familiar with code versioning tools, such as {Git / Bit Bucket } and Git pull requests
Knowledge of modern development principles and best practices (Object Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, SOLID Principles, unit testing, continuous integration and deployment)
Experience in using Vagrant boxes or VMs and Linux
Experience to write the unit tests.
Experience in designing database schemas
Experience with large databases, preferably PostgreSQL/MySQL
Experience with NOSQL databases and related implementations
Experience with Elastic Search
Experience in modern JavaScript frameworks, i.e: Angular JS
Understanding of Design patterns
Ability to develop rapid prototypes of business ideas
Ability to demonstrate projects done with technologies mentioned above
Familiar with Agile methodologies and Scrum
Excellent written and oral communication skills
