About the job
Sodexo is currently seeking an experienced Hospitability & Accommodation Manager to live and work in Aurukun, Far North Queensland. This is a full time role rostered 5 days on, 2 days off - 11 hours per day. This role would be suitable for a local candidate currently living and residing in Aurukun or moving their shortly.
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Hospitality & Accommodation Manager will be responsible for the day to day running of the Lodge and managing staff on site. This is a hands-on, customer facing role which will require working the front desk/reception, booking guest and employee accommodation, managing travel bookings, Maintenance administration and general office duties as required. It will also involve training and managing the Lodge staff, allocating rosters, ensuring staff are following policies and procedures while delivering excellent customer service and experience for the guests.

About you
It is essential to have previous hospitality and accommodation management experience working in a resort, hotel, motel preferable within a remote setting. This position will suit a proactive, driven and well organised individual who can communicate in a friendly manner, with excellent presentation and customer service skills. It is essential to be confident using computers and Microsoft Office and be able to pick up systems quickly. You must consider yourself to have a positive attitude and able to mitigate situations or be proactive in creating solutions. In addition, have a strong safety awareness and safe work ethic.
This is a live local role and in a remote location which may not suitable for everyone, please consider the reality of living in a remote location and the area.
