The City of Parramatta Council is currently looking for a Manager Digital Marketing, an individual with the proven experience to oversee the digital marketing function within Council ensuring that Council’s websites and other digital marketing platforms and channels:

Enable access to key information and facilitates seamless transactions
Actively targets and reaches identified audiences, and
Supports the awareness of Council’s initiatives

About the role
The Manager Digital Marketing is the champion and custodian of Council’s digital marketing strategy, websites and platforms. This role sits within Council’s City Identity unit whose purpose is to promote and position Parramatta as a destination of choice to live, work, study and play resulting in improved perceptions and community pride, increased visitation, economic prosperity and sustainability for the City of Parramatta.

City of Parramatta Council has three core websites: the Council website, a business/investment focused website and a destination focused website. The role is responsible for the end-to-end coordination of these sites, including collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and partners.

This permanent position will lead a team of Digital Marketing professionals to achieve Council’s objectives as articulated in the Community Strategic Plan (CSP), the Delivery Program and Operating Plan (DPOP), the City Marketing Strategy and City Identity Business Unit Plan.

About the person
Data driven with applied knowledge of User Experience (UX) and Customer Experience (CX), the successful candidate will be able to use their skill set, which has been cultivated for a minimum of 10 years, to promote the use of best practice digital marketing approaches throughout the organisation.

This role requires someone who possesses strategic and tactical thinking, a high level of personal motivation and initiative, ability to prioritise, attention to detail, team orientation, cross-functional collaboration, resilience, adaptability, and an ability to get the job done.

This role will also play a key role in Council’s Digital Transformation. Experience in this space will be highly regarded.

The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, or other related field.
