Job Description

In support of our student acquisition and conversion objectives, we have created an exciting opportunity for a digitally-led marketing communications professional to join the Domestic and Direct Recruitment team as Email Marketing Specialist - Future Students.

In this role, you will contribute to the planning and implementation of digital communications activities for the future students audience segment. With a strategic mindset and the ability to establish strong stakeholder relationships to bring your colleagues on the journey, you’ll be instrumental in planning and deploying email marketing campaigns using the Adobe Campaign platform, including mapping the set-up, scheduling, testing and deployment of dynamic content-driven campaigns.

Supporting the Segment Communications Manager - Future Students, and working collaboratively with a talented team of communications specialists, you’ll be:
Partnering with a range of internal clients to understand campaign objectives and gather business and technical requirements.
Building robust communications plans and deploying campaigns on schedule, to targeted audience segments.
Tracking campaign performance and delivering reports that meet the needs of stakeholders across the business.
Contributing to our test and learn strategy to optimise communications effectiveness; using insights to inform a continuous cycle of testing, refinement and improvement.

Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

Degree level qualification in marketing, communications or related fields with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
A working knowledge of Adobe Campaign or other marketing automation tools such as Unica, Salesforce or Marketo.
Experience with segmentation and personalization, and building and testing campaign workflows.
Experience creating communications plans, and optimising campaigns to achieve campaign objectives.
Experience briefing and editing on-brand communications for a range of audiences and campaigns, delivered across Swinburne’s digital channels.
Experience in the university student lifecycle or education sector would be advantageous. A full list of the selection criteria is available in the position description
